Dental Implants
Losing one or more of your teeth creates a gap in your smile and may adversely affect your ability to chew. In addition, tooth loss also results in some loss of the surrounding jaw bone, changing the shape of the jaw. In addition to replacing missing teeth, dental implants stimulate the supporting jaw bone, helping to prevent surrounding bone loss.
A missing tooth can be replaced by a dental implant without altering the healthy adjacent teeth, looking and feeling like a natural tooth and if well maintained, can last a lifetime.
Once an implant is placed, a post (or abutment) is attached to provide the support for the final crown.
