Andrew

Dr Andrew Lamb (GDC 82368)

BDS (Sheffield 2003), PGDip (Healthcare Ed), PgCert Implantology

 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at Main Road

 Andrew has worked at Duston Dental Practice since 2003, becoming a partner in 2007. In that time, he has achieved additional qualifications in the field of clinical education; jointly providing training to over 10 newly qualified dentists, alongside his fellow trainer at our practice, Richard Staincliffe.

Over the last 10 years, Andrew has also undertaken a further qualification in Dental Implants and alongside his colleague, Vivak Shah, they have together provided dental implants to patients of our practice since 2014. Andrew has a passion for patient-centred dental care, many of whom have been patients of his for many years.

Richard

Dr Richard Staincliffe (GDC 82384)

BDS (Sheffield 2003), MSc, LLM, Dip.FFGDP (UK) RCS (Eng), Dip.MILM, PGCertMedEd, FHEA

 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at Main Road

 Richard graduated from Sheffield University in 2003 and started working at Duston in 2007, shortly before becoming a partner at the practice. He has been a foundation dentist trainer, helping to support newly qualified dental colleagues at the practice since 2008 and has gained teaching and medico-legal qualifications.

Richard is passionate about minimal intervention and digital dentistry, smile design and periodontology, gaining a distinction in his Clinical Masters in 2015 and Legal Masters in 2024. He enjoys the challenge of multi-disciplinary dental care, providing patients with orthodontic treatment, implants, crown and bridgework and routine dental care. He is qualified in dental sedation in the SAAD scheme. Richard has previously worked at Birmingham University, teaching undergraduate students, and currently delivers clinical reports for the regulator, the General Dental Council. Outside of the clinic, Richard enjoys F1, road cycling and international travel.

Dr Cerys Williams (GDC 82389)

BDS (Sheffield 2003)

 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at St Crispin

Cerys qualified from the University of Sheffield in 2003 and since qualifying has worked in general dentistry in the Northampton area. With over 20 years of experience in general dentistry, Cerys enjoys undertaking a wide range of treatments to keep her patient's teeth and gums as healthy as possible. Cerys undertakes regular training in all aspects of general dentistry and aims to provide a comprehensive range of services in a relaxed and friendly environment.

In 2019 Cerys received a certification for training in Botox and has been gaining experience in this field. She will be looking to introduce this service to our patients very soon. Please see our website, Facebook page and Instagram for updates.

When not at work, Cerys is a busy mum of two. As an animal lover, she enjoys caring for a menagerie of animals, including a dog, two cats, chickens, bearded dragons, fish and more. She has a great love of the outdoors and enjoys walking and nature.

A word from Cerys: “It has been a privilege to provide continuity of care for my patients for many years. I aim to make every patient’s oral health my priority and I have a keen focus on prevention. I always feel it is a pleasure to come to work with such an amazing, caring team and look forward to seeing familiar faces in my dental chair.  Fiona has worked at the practice since graduating in 1999, having built up a list of dedicated patients. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry.

Dr Shivam Amlani (289762)

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at Main Road

 Shiv graduated from Leeds University in 2020 and embarked on an exciting journey with our practice. Following a productive foundation year, he then went on to work as a general dental practitioner in Leicester. Shiv's drive for improvement led him to pursue further training in Wales, where he explored the complexities of oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as restorative dentistry, gaining invaluable experience along the way. Shiv has returned to Main Road with renewed enthusiasm and is dedicated to create a relaxed and comforting environment for every patient. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and strives to make every dental visit a positive and enjoyable experience. In his spare time, Shiv enjoys playing badminton, exploring new places through travel and spending quality time with his family and friends.

 Shivani joined the practice in 2022 and looks after our patients at Main Road. Shivani enjoys providing all aspects of general dentistry and she has developed a reputation for excellent communication and attention to detail in treatment planning. Outside of dentistry, she mentors 6th form students for admission into Dental school for Step2Med, creates and shares recipes for her Instagram page, and has enjoyed karate since the age of 4.

Dr Diana Trifu (GDC 224408)

Thursday and Friday at St. Crispin

 Diana qualified in 2006 as a Dental Surgeon at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy- Cluj-Napoca, in the heart of Transylvania and two years later, she completed her Master’s Degree in Oral Rehabilitation and Medicine. In 2012, Diana moved to UK where she settled, and now she calls home. Since her graduation, Diana worked as a General Dental Practitioner in different settings, which have included her own private practice, and other practices across the Midlands, taking care of both NHS and private patients. Diana enjoys all aspects of dentistry, and her educational interest has mainly been focused on Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics. In 2017/2018 Diana completed two years of Advanced Restorative Dentistry training accredited by the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry (BARD) in London, gaining a PG Certificate in Restorative Dentistry and a second PG Certificate in Practical Restorative Dentistry. A year later, Diana successfully completed a Level 7 Diploma in Restorative Dentistry, the most satisfying and rewarding career choice. Diana is happy to join our practice ,in supporting patients as they journey toward a healthier, more confident smile.

Dr Shefali graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Nottingham in 2020, and works as an NHS and private GP in Northampton. Since 2022, she has practised facial aesthetics. Shefali combines her medical expertise with a warm, friendly approach to ensure each patient is informed, confident and empowered at every step of their journey. She embraces a holistic philosophy, helping her patients feel and look their best.

 Julie has worked at the practice since 1987 and has been the practice manager since 1995. She has overseen the growth of the practice and looks after our team of managers and nursing staff.

Charlotte Allen – Assistant Manager

Charlotte has worked at the practice since 2007, joining us as a Dental Nurse. She is a dedicated member of the managerial team.

Donna has been an integral part of our practice since 2002 when she joined us as a Dental Nurse. Today, she is a committed member of the managerial team.
